“By that time our specialists will have arrived in Cameron in order to prepare the machinery for field operation and take part in testing”, reported Igor Korotkevich, First Deputy Director of Sales Department.
Sufficiently large areas are covered with cotton in Cameroon. However, most of the cotton in the region is harvested manually. Our harvester is designed specifically to match the local cotton growing technology, so it will let us increase labor productivity in several times”, Korotkevich noted.
"Gomselmash" managed to enter the market of tropical Africa with the assistance of French partner - the company SAS Podia. The agreements were signed during the visit of the representatives of SAS Podia and large cotton processing holding Geocoton to Gomel. Guests highly appreciated the simplicity and reliability of the cotton machine construction created by the Belarusian company.
During the initial stage of cooperation, the harvesters will be tested in conditions of Cameroon hot and humid climate. Besides, there are plans to arrange a special seminar with a demonstration of the vehicle’s capabilities for potential dealers from neighboring Western Africa countries where large areas under cotton plant are available, including Mali, Cote d’Ivoire, Togo, and Benin.
